About the Department
The Department of Artificial Intelligence has conceptualized in the year 2019. The Department has started a Program in B. Tech Artificial Intelligence with an intake of 60. By virtue of it, the intake has been enhanced from 60 to 120 with effect from the academic year 2020-21. The Department has also started a new Program B. Tech Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning with an intake of 60 in same academic year. The key objective of department is to impact cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning Technology knowledge to students so that they can meet the challenging demands of the IT industry and do their research in the same area. Through this program, students equip with emerging technology developments and master in latest skills required by the Industry, Research and Society at large.

Dean & Experienced Faculty
Dr. A. Mallikarjuna Reddy
HOD – Artificial Intelligence, AU
Dr. A. Mallikarjuna Reddy is an experienced academician with 13 years of tenure, specializing in Artificial Intelligence. He holds 5 patents, authored 2 books, and contributed to 42 publications in Scopus/Web of Science Journals. Additionally, he has presented over 10 papers in international conferences, receiving recognition through Best Teacher and Best Paper awards. Reddy is actively involved in Faculty Development programs as a speaker and serves as a reviewer for reputable journals. He has held various roles in conference committees and currently guides five Ph.D. scholars in Machine Learning and Computer Vision. His interests span Digital Image Processing, Internet of Things, Data Science, Databases, and Security.
